Q1. How do I order a Virtual Server?
You can order a new Virtual Server by completing the online order form
at our Order web site.
Q2. How do I switch
my current site from another provider to Blue Reef?
If you do not yet have a Blue Reef Virtual Server account then you may
simply order a new Virtual Server using our Order
Web Site. Once the Server has been ordered, you will receive a
DNS Modification Request Form from Blue Reef. You should then forward
this Modification Request Form to InterNIC (specific instructions will
be included with the form). We can process this request for you if we
are listed as one of the official contacts for your domain name (if your
domain is already hosted on one of our servers). Please see our Easy
Steps page for more details on this process.
If your already have a Virtual Server account with us, you will need to
fill out a Domain
Modification Form, and then add a domain to your server using
our Order Web Site.
Q3.
How do I register a domain name and how long does it take?
Registering the .com, .net, and .org top-level domain names typically
takes one to two business days. Blue Reef will assist you in registering
your domain name when you order a new Virtual Server. You can also register
a domain name directly with InterNIC by going one of InterNIC's Accredited
Registrars using the following nameserver information into the
form:
Primary Nameserver:
NS1.BLUEREEF.NET 192.220.124.10
Secondary Nameserver:
NS2.BLUEREEF.NET 192.220.125.10
Q4. How do I have an
additional domain name added to an existing Server?
You may order a domain addition using our Order
Web Site. There is a one-time $20 setup charge to have a new domain
name added to an existing Server.
Q5. How long does it
take to setup a new Virtual Server?
For customers in good standing, a new Virtual Server request will be honored,
processed, and setup within one business day (in most cases the account
will be setup within a few hours). New accounts for first time customers
typically take one to two business days while we verify billing information
and secure signed agreements.
Q6. How do I add additional
features to an existing Virtual Server?
You can add additional features to your Virtual Server (SSL, extra space,
CyberCash, etc) by accessing our convenient Order
Web Site. After you have requested new products be added to an
existing server, you will receive an invoice via email reflecting the
changes made to your Virtual Server.
