Accept credit cards online with Authorize.Net!

Authorize.Net is a server-based transaction processing system that enables businesses with approved merchant accounts to authorize, process, and manage credit card and electronic check transactions via a secure Internet connection. There are two basic components of the Authorize.Net system:

Authorize.Net Virtual Terminal
Authorize.Net WebLink

Authorize.Net is often preferred over CyberCash because you do not need to know any special CGI-programming skills to implement it.

Virtual Terminal
Virtual Terminal simulates a standard POS (Point-of-Sale) terminal by enabling businesses with a merchant account to authorize, process, and manage credit card transactions in a secure, online environment. Since the Virtual Terminal can be accessed by an authenticated user from any computer with a Web browser and an Internet connection, it replaces the need for a physical authorization terminal or software and provides a scalable solution for businesses that accept mail or phone order sales.

Web Link
WebLink, enables a business to automatically accept, authorize and process credit cards and check orders directly from their Web site. When online customers are ready to purchase products or services from the business' Web site, WebLink either captures the necessary information (name, credit card number, etc.) from the site's own secure order form or displays a standard WebLink transaction form, hosted on an Authorize.Net server, for the customer to complete. Implementing WebLink is a matter of simply inserting a few lines of HTML code in the business' online order form to establish the link.

Authorize.Net supports most available shopping cart software, so it integrates easily with most ecommerce solutions. Miva Merchant has a built-in Authorize.Net module which creates the web link for you.

Pricing and Ordering

You can easily use your merchant account with Authorize.Net for a one-time $150 setup fee.

Just be sure your bank knows you'll be taking orders through the Internet.

Your bank uses one of five processing platforms for your merchant account. Select the application for the one your bank uses:

*Savings Note: Merchants using Authorize.Net do not need to purchase equipment or software in order to process credit card transactions, even if the transaction occurs by phone or in the mail. Because of this, Authorize.Net merchants will save as much as $1,000.00 to $1,500.00 by avoiding the need for separate equipment. Equipment is available to merchants that absolutely require it.

Support
Merchant account services are supported by ECI, registered I.C. Agent of Humboldt Bank. Authorize.Net is supported by NETSolutions. Because the procedure for implementing Authorize.Net is quite simple, little technical expertise is necessary. If you need technical assistance with the integration of Authorize.Net WebLink into your web site or administration of the Virtual Terminal, however, online documentation and email support is available.
