Using the Mail Manager

The Mail Manager is used for adding, editing, and removing aliases, spammers, and virtmaps, and for adding and removing autoresponders.

Before you dive into making changes to your virtual server's mail system configuration, we strongly recommend that you read the Virtual Server Manual's sections on aliases, virtmaps, and spammers. Because of the way these features interact, it is easy to accidentally cause your server to misroute or lose mail. For example, virtmaps, especially "catch all" types, can hide aliases and make them (and autoresponders) unreachable. Furthermore, spammers entries can cause mail to be automatically deleted. Care should be taken that important messages not be misrouted or lost.
