Using the Diagnostics Manager

The Diagnostics Manager, pictured at right, is used to check the status of various Internet services such as POP, IMAP, HTTP, FTP, and SMTP. Click on the tab labeled "Diagnostics" to enter the diagnostics manager.

To check the status of the Internet services, click on the "Scan Ports" button. If the service is running correctly, the status window will say " is OK." If there is a problem with either the service itself or the means by which ACE checks the service, an appropriate message will be displayed.

Sometimes, the scan of all the ports can take a while to complete. After you press the "Scan Ports" button, be patient. Eventually a message of success or failure will appear in each section of the window. If one of the ports is not OK, you may need to contact Blue Reef's service department for help getting it functional.
